The 5th Season opener brings you the finest in knock-down/drag-out derby! The reigning Champions, the PistolWhippers face off against their nemesisters, The D-Funk All Stars in a rematch of last year’s Champ bout.
Everyone who was lucky enough to get tickets to the sold-out slugfest witnessed what everyone confidently called “the best game of derby played in Detroit yet!” It went down to the final jam when Sarah “KillBox” Hipel edged out Sista Slit’chya for the ‘Whippers 2nd turn hoisting ‘Olive’ (aka The RS Cup).
Both teams return with most of their vets and even more national experience. In the travel season Sista has tied and broken house and national records jamming for Detroit, and all your favorites have been handing out beatdowns across the nation. This weekend they travel to Philly for their 2nd shot at WFTDA supremecy! They’ll take on the current champs - Gotham Girls Roller Derby - on Friday night.
